BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUETS – A thing of beauty or something to hang onto as you tremble down the aisle.
Traditionally the Bridesmaids bouquets are a smaller version of the Bride’s bouquet. When choosing the bridesmaid’s bouquets keep in mind the over all size of the arrangement in proportion to the bridesmaid’s dresses. A dress with a full skirt will require a larger bouquet than a sheath style dress and some bridemaid’s bouquets look better with sleeveless gowns than others.
The Posy Bouquet A round bouquet is the most popular choice for todays Bridesmaids, made popular by Martha Stewart. The preferred method for wrapping the stems is to bind the stem in heavy ribbon. Do not allow your florist to talk you into a hard plastic form filled with water soaked oasis, not only is it messy, it is very heavy and difficult to hold.

The Arm Sheaf This shape is held cradled in the arms, or, more recently, upside-down against the skirt of your gown. An arm sheaf bouquet is a good choice if you like the natural look of stems but want something a little larger and more unusual than a posy. This Bridesmaids bouquet style works best with sleeveless gowns.

The Muff The Muff works beautifully with winter weddings. Adorned with flowers on a hand warming fabric back.

The Princess Bouquet This extra generous bridesmaids bouquet is constructed with several long tapered trails of flowers, greenery and ribbon.

The Cascade Bouquet Cascading bridesmaids bouquets feature waterfall-shaped dimensions, the width across the top is not much more than the width at the bottom, giving the bouquet a more natural, flowing look.
|
The Pendant Bouquet The pendant bouquet is a short, wide bouquet – a heart shape without the cleft in the top. The effect is generous and lush and is especially gorgeous in a monochromatic selection of flowers.
